Typo Tuesday: "geomanist"

Written by Luke Kellett | Mar 2, 2015 1:00:00 PM

This week on Typo Tuesday we go tripping with "Geomanist"; typography design from Spain, with a global spirit.

Atipo is a small agency, but they really pack a punch and Geomanist is a good example of that - it's universal typography in nine weights from thin through to ultra.

That means Geomanist is applicable to almost any context of use, and it's definitely clever marketing; Atipo throw the regular weight your way for the price of Tweet or Like, and the rest of the range is "pay what you want".

Once you're addicted, you'll be want to go back for more, and throw them a well earned Euro.

And we reckon you will. Geomanist has that Helvetica, modernist speed that you can either speed up or throttle back with weight, real weight.

Check out the smooth, minimal angularity of those thin caps and decimals, alongside the cleverly fat and lazy weight of the lower case.

It really works, and Atipo show in the sample applications below how it plays out. Grab the regular weight from their website here, and check Atipo out on Behance here.
